Kajian Sosial Ekonomi Petani Sayuran Daun di Dusun Taeno Bawah, Desa Rumah Tiga, Kota Ambon

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the socio-economic situation of leafy vegetable farmers in Taeno Bawah Hamlet, Rumah Tiga Village, Ambon City. The research method used is a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach. Data was collected through live interviews using questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively to describe the socio-economic conditions of farmers including age, education level, farming experience, land area, income, and family dependents. The results of the study show that leafy vegetable farmers are predominantly in the productive age group, with relatively low educational levels, but have a long enough farming experience. Farmers' income is relatively moderate and is greatly influenced by land area and production intensity. In general, the socio-economic conditions of farmers still need to be improved through technological support, market access, and government policies
